V-Licious says... a review of Sex as a Second Language by Alisa Kwitney

I must say that this was DEFINITELY an improvement from Brick Lane. Yes, it was pure chick lit, and yes, it seems like I was the only one of the group who actually enjoyed it!  It may have a little to do with the fact that I had a little more time on my hands than  the others while reading it…but hey I liked it! There were some good plot lines… I mean who doesn’t enjoy a little teacher/student romance…and well, when the student’s name is Magnus, that’s just a given right??! Fun book. Easy read.

  1. As much as I did not like the Brick Lane, I think that it gave more food for thought than SASL. SASL is very predictable book sprinkled with occasional sex scene. It is an easy read and I would suggest it as a beach book. You will learn some little known truth, such as "it is not easy to be single", "it is not easy to be 40 and an actress", "some men are assholes and some are sex gods that can make you have an orgasm just as they look at you" and "it is not easy to be a single mom". I am ready to move on to a more satisfying read.
